Technology Consulting Analyst (Entry Level)

Apply for this role

tieBridge is a specialized management consulting firm that helps electric, water, and public-sector organizations successfully deliver large, complex technology transformation programs.

Our consultants provide Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V), Project Delivery Assurance, strategic advisory services, and program oversight for multi-million-dollar initiatives involving enterprise software, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, customer information systems, work and asset management systems, GIS, and advanced utility technologies.

We are looking for a bright, analytical, and intellectually curious early-career professional who wants to build a long-term consulting career. This is not a traditional entry-level analyst position. You will work directly with experienced consultants and utility executives while receiving extensive mentoring and technical training.

Your initial assignment will support tieBridge's Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) team on a major Work and Asset Management System (WACS) implementation for a large public utility.

What you will do

As a Technology Consulting Analyst, you will assist senior consultants in evaluating large technology programs and identifying project risks before they become problems.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Review project plans, schedules, requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Assist in evaluating software implementation progress against project objectives.
  • Monitor testing activities, defect trends, and project metrics.
  • Prepare executive dashboards, status reports, and presentation materials.
  • Conduct research on technology best practices, software products, and industry trends.
  • Participate in meetings with client project teams, software vendors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Help develop recommendations to improve project governance, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Support preparation of IV&V reports and executive briefings.
  • Learn consulting methodologies for project oversight, technology assessments, and risk management.

As your experience grows, you will take on increasing responsibility in leading interviews, conducting independent analyses, presenting findings, and supporting client engagements.

What you'll learn

This position provides exceptional exposure to enterprise technology consulting. You will receive hands-on experience in:

  • Enterprise software implementation projects
  • Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)
  • Project Delivery Assurance methodologies
  • Project management best practices
  • Systems integration
  • Software testing and quality assurance
  • Requirements analysis
  • Enterprise architecture
  • Risk management
  • Executive communications
  • Utility business operations
  • Technology strategy

You will work alongside senior consultants with decades of experience leading some of North America's largest utility technology programs.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is exceptionally bright, motivated, and eager to learn. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a similar discipline. If you are confident about your analytical and writing skills, we will consider non-science majors.
  • 0–3 years of professional experience (internships count).
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies quickly.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to develop problem-solving approaches and synthesize complex technical information into concise executive-level summaries.

Nice to have: project management, business analysis, SQL or database fundamentals, data analytics, software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud technologies, utility industry experience, and AI and data analytics. No prior utility experience is required.

What makes someone successful here

Successful candidates are very hardworking and focused, natural problem solvers, opportunity-hungry, and naturally curious. They know how to use AI smartly — not as a substitute for thinking and analysis. They are highly dependable, comfortable asking thoughtful questions, detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture, able to think critically and independently, professional and mature when interacting with senior client executives, and interested in building deep expertise rather than simply completing assigned tasks.

Why join tieBridge

At tieBridge, junior consultants work directly with experienced industry leaders — not several layers removed from the work. You will gain exposure to executive decision-making, enterprise technology strategy, and complex digital transformation programs that most professionals do not encounter until much later in their careers.

Our consultants are trusted advisors to utilities and government organizations across North America, helping clients reduce project risk and successfully deliver technology investments worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

If you're looking for a career where you'll continuously learn, solve challenging problems, and make a measurable impact on major public infrastructure projects, we'd love to hear from you.
